love songs

I hate that in popular music it's almost the only subject that exists in any capacity. It's a big part of why I don't listen to anything that has the slightest hope of being on the air. Not that I hate popular things on principle, but it's self-selecting if I don't listen to love songs. No love songs, no breakup songs, no lust songs, no songs about being at a bar or a club seeking encounters, and most playlists turn to silence. There must be some way to phrase it that could catch on in a similar fashion to the Bechdel Test.
